Alger Delta Cooperative Electric Association of Gladstone, Michigan, was awarded the contract to serve a new nickel mine near Marquette, Michigan. Utility Systems Engineering, Inc. was contracted by Alger Delta to design and manage the power supply for the Kennecott Minerals Mine. This included a 138/25kV substation and overhead and underground distribution. USE, Inc. was involved in all aspects including design, management, environmental, public relations, protection design, contract development, etc.

Hancock Wood Electric Cooperative of North Baltimore, Ohio, was awarded the contract to serve a new CSX intermodal transportation center. USE, Inc was contracted by Hancock Wood to design and manage the power supply to CSX. This included a 34X69/12.47kV substation and area distribution. The project involved a renewables feature as electric cranes to be used by CSX would produce power on the down stroke. USE, Inc also developed a feasibility and impact study and designed interconnection facilities. USE, Inc. was involved in most aspects of the CSX project including design, management, protection design, contract development, interconnection agreement development, etc.

Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative of Paulding, Ohio, was asked to interconnect a digester. USE, Inc. was warded the contract to conduct an impact and feasibility study.

Midwest Electric of St Marys, Ohio was asked to interconnect a digester. USE, Inc. was awarded the contract to conduct an impact and feasibility study.

Butler REC of Oxford, Ohio awarded USE, Inc the project of building a 138/12.47kV substation near Trenton, Ohio. This substation will be completed later in 2010.

USE, Inc has developed the new formatted SPCC Plan for numerous electric cooperatives in Ohio and Michigan.

USE, Inc helped the Village of Baraga, Michigan acquired a no-interest loan to improve electrical system efficiencies. USE, Inc. then designed and managed the construction of those facilities. USE, Inc. was involved in all aspects including design, management, environmental, public relations, protection design, contract development, etc.

USE, Inc. developed the work plan and qualified system condition during the Cloverland Electric Cooperative purchase of Edison Sault Electric during 2010.

USE, Inc is currently involved in numerous substation design projects that involve new and modified subs, various sizes and Voltages, purchasing of equipment, development of contracts, etc.

USE, Inc is currently involved in various planning and work plan studies that involve development of criteria, load flows, alternative plan analysis, etc. to determine capital programs for the next four and twenty years.

USE, Inc is currently involved in support services for renewables interconnections. Services include feasibility, impact, interconnection protection, rates for wheeling, back up and supplemental, and design of interconnection facilities.
